Developing cities in ASEAN countries including Bangkok have chance to improve sustainability of cities in leapfrog way by strategic planning of urban structure anticipating future economic growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The leapfrog urban design is a concept to avoid the increasing environmental loads and deterioration of quality of life which were on the trajectory of developed countries experienced. Instead, it will utilize the integrated planning of land use and transport to reach the sustainable mature economic state. Especially capture the car ownership and urban expansion accompanied with economic growth.
