To this end, the project prioritizes reaching out to citizens on project activities in an easy-to-understand way. On the other hand, it is an important mission for the project to publish academic papers to validate hypotheses with reliable evidence, which are strictly reviewed by professional reviewers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><em>JICA Magazine<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On 31 August 2021, JICA published a <em>JICA Magazine<\/em> for the public to introduce how JICA project members are tackling issues in developing countries. The October issue of the <em>Magazine<\/em> in English highlights \u201cSMART CITIES for A Brighter Future,\u201d in which case 2 in Thailand introduces the project titled \u201cBangkok exploring smart transportation.\u201d The <em>Magazine<\/em> is available open access at: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jica.go.jp\/english\/publications\/j-magazine\/2110.html\">https:\/\/www.jica.go.jp\/english\/publications\/j-magazine\/2110.html<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"157\" height=\"222\" src=\"https:\/\/thailand40.prsvr.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/10\/image2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-408\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3><em>Academic Article<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On 20 August, a new academic article co-authored by Thai and Japanese project members was published in an international journal, <em>Sustainability<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Title: COVID-19 Countermeasures and Passengers\u2019 Confidence of Urban Rail Travel in Bangkok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authors: Varameth Vichiensan<sup>1,2<\/sup>,Yoshitsugu Hayashi<sup>3<\/sup> and Sudarat Kamnerdsap<sup>4<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Affiliations:<br>1. The book consists of two parts: the first part introduces a model of QOL analysis evaluation and cases which Prof. Hayashi\u2019s team has been studying for 20 years; the second part summarizes an international symposium on QOL mainstreaming held in April 2021.
